I can't wait to subscribe to the Blind Bird Watchers List...Not! Are the birds blind or is it the watchers. I have known a few blind train spotters, but birds??
However, let's not forget that the composer of the song When I Leave The World Behind did bequeath the songbirds to us 'the blind'...
Believe it or not, there are blind people who like birds. I guess you can't technically call them watchers, but...
Becky, I'm guessing this list comes from the whitestick website, as tom has a list either very like that, or that list. anyone can have a group added by contacting him at the email address on his site. The other thing worth doing is a search for blind or something similar on the yahoo groups site, there are actually hundreds of them.
BaritoneAu, don't say that with Nikos around. He's an avid bird watcher/listener/whatever.

Kevin and Bob, I got this list from someone on a list I belong to, and she didn't know where it came from as it was also passed on to her by someone else.
There used to be a website here called www.accesstechnologyinstitute.com that had an even more extensive list of e-mail lists for the blind - hundreds. But the last time I checked that site the list was gone.
